Mr. Russell Hale joined Valador in July of 2007 as Vice President of Business Development. For the past twenty-one years, Mr. Hale has provided significant help to a number of private sector organizations in their efforts to market products, programs, and services to state and federal governments typically in the areas of information technology, financial systems, and defense. His assignments have been at the vice president, senior vice president, and president level.
Mr. Hale’s private sector experience has included serving in organizations such as IBM, Computer Sciences Corp., NET Federal, Inc., Unisys Corp., Veridian Corporation, and most recently with the lobbying firm of Cassidy & Associates. In the mid-1980s, Mr. Hale made the transition from government service into the private sector spending two years in private consulting to Chase Manhattan Bank and Drexel, Burnham, Lambert. His experience inside government spanned the eighteen years after his graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy. His congressional experience during the late 1970s and early 1980s included professional staff positions with the National Security Subcommittee of the House Budget Committee and as Staff Director of the Seapower Subcommittee on House Armed Services Committee. The high point of his government service was his appointment by President Reagan to serve from 1981 to 1984 as Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management. Earlier he served as a U.S. Air Force Officer providing systems and financial analyst work for the Air Force Staff as well as with the Office of the Secretary of Defense (Comptroller). Mr. Hale has a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
