April 23, 2009 – Dennis Bentley Attends Apollo 8 Crew
Austin, TX, April 23, 2009 — The LBJ Library in Austin, TX hosted a reunion of the Apollo 8 Crew and some of the many who supported Apollo 8. A panel discussion led by Jim Hartz, a former broadcaster, was taped by C-SPAN and will be aired at a later date.
Dennis Bentley of Valador managed the crew checklist for the Command and Service Modules. The checklist contained all of the procedures from Launch to SplashDown and Bill Anders named a crater “Dennis” on the back side of the moon during the flight.
