Valador, Inc. is a Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business whose mission is to protect and develop our nation's technological, strategic, and military information assets.
We are information architects that deliver powerful solutions to help our customers collect, manage, protect and visualize their critical information assets and successfully attain their mission. We help customer management overcome challenges such as strategic and tactical planning; policies and procedures development; cost and operational effectiveness assessment; program and project management; and risk, safety, and reliability management. Valador helps overcome those challenges by providing enablers such as decision support systems, solutions for analysis of alternatives, and complex information visualization applications. We provide this support through our four key service areas: Information Assurance, Management Consulting, Modeling and Simulation, and Software Engineering. Our technical professionals are noted for providing award-winning support to customers such as the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, Defense Threat Reduction Agency, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Secret Service, and Department of Homeland Security.
Founded in the summer of 2001, Valador started as a company specializing in information architectures for civil and military space operations, telemetry, and command, control, and communications. Our practice has since expanded to encompass more comprehensive information architecture support, including:
- Information Assurance - information system security, critical infrastructure protection, IT security assessment, contingency planning, and crisis training and management.
- Management Consulting - Program/Project Management Office support; strategic planning; policies assessment and development; special studies support; and program start-up, reorganization, or closeout support.
- Modeling and Simulation - evaluating alternatives, assessing risk and reliability, developing M&S tools that facilitate collaboration and visualization of simulation results.
- Software Engineering - web-enabled database solutions, web portals, executive information systems, and collaboration and 3D visualization applications.
Valador has been repeatedly chosen to tackle tough tasks to provide critical support to our customers. For example, Valador was selected to provide:
- Prime contractor support coordination; information collection, management, and dissemination; and technical analysis support for the Independent Columbia Accident Investigation Board.
- Support of large-scale multilevel IT security for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Support of NASA's Exploration Systems Architecture Study (ESAS), evaluating development options, including the Crew Exploration Vehicle design (NASA's space shuttle replacement), which will return Americans to the Moon, and on to Mars.
- Procurement support for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's enterprise-wide Financial Management Modernization Initiative.
- Development of a cost model for assessment of alternatives for retiring the Space Shuttle Program, the largest, most complex program in the world.
As Valador grows, our emphasis remains focused on management and development of information architectures for service delivery. We continue to develop advanced modeling and simulation, decision support, and information management capabilities to support complex programs.
