NAVAIR awards Valador
a BPA for E-6 Services.
Herndon, VA, October 1, 2002 -- Valador was awarded a blanket purchasing agreement (BPA) with the Navy’s E-6 program office (http://force.navair.navy.mil/e6.htm) to provide systems engineering and acquisition support services. The five year BPA provides for an ability to order IDIQ services for up to $5M.
The E-6 is a modified commercial Boeing 707 aircraft and as part of the Take Charge and Move Out (TACAMO) mission provides survivable, reliable, and endurable airborne command, control, and communications between the National Command Authority (NCA) and U.S. strategic and non-strategic forces. It also serves as an Airborne National Command Post as part of the National Command Authority.
Valador and its teammate Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. (www.honeywell-tsi.com) will provide the E-6 program office services including: requirements analyses, wideband communications architecture support, acquisition support, system technical and analytical support, program planning, systems engineering and technology demonstrations, and systems integration support.
