NASA's Kennedy Space Center Awards Valador the Development of a Prototype Collaborative Virtual Environment
Herndon, VA, May 10, 2005 -- Valador has been awarded a contract by NASA's Kennedy Space Center to develop a prototype Distributed Observer Network (DON) based on Valador's Immersive Visualization Environment (VIVE™). The DON will provide a collaborative virtual environment for three dimensional visualization of discrete event simulations of Space Shuttle and Space Station operations. "We are pleased that NASA selected our VIVE as an environment for distributed visualization. Three dimensional immersive visualization is the logical next step in evaluating the acquisition of new systems for NASA's Exploration Initiative," says Kevin Mabie, Valador's co-founder and CEO. "As we develop new systems, this tool will provide designers and engineers an opportunity to test operational concepts and gather data prior to the development of new hardware."
