Johnson Space Center Awards Valador the Development of a Model for the Retirement of the Space Shuttle Program
Herndon, VA, July 28, 2005 -- NASA's Johnson Space Center awarded Valador a contract to develop a model for the retirement of the Space Shuttle Program. This model will provide NASA with a means for safely retiring the Space Shuttle fleet as NASA transitions to a new launch system in support of the President's Vision for Space Exploration. "Valador is proud to continue our service to NASA's manned spaceflight initiatives and are pleased that NASA entrusts us with such important tasks," says Dr. Daniel Heimerdinger, Valador's co-founder and Executive Vice President. "As the Columbia Accident Investigation and Return to Flight contractor, we can now continue to serve the Shuttle program as it retires its service after almost three decades of flight."
